Q: Can insulation reduce noise between rooms?

A: Yes. Acoustic insulation helps reduce sound transfer through walls and floors.

Q: What is an R-value?

A: R-value measures thermal resistance. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation. NZ standards vary by region.

Q: Will insulation increase construction costs?

A: Slightly—but it pays off in lower energy bills and better resale value. Higher R-values may require thicker walls or advanced joinery.
